This is your irregularly scheduled update of what I’ve been doing since I last blogged on this site.
I wrote about some friends’ horrible experience with Vintage Bus Hire Ltd of New Romney. You can read my blog post on The Restless Consumer; I hope it will warn others not to use this firm for wedding transport.
I continue to blog for Sustainable Witney, most recently about the funding threat to Oxfordshire’s thriving network of Community Action Groups.
On a happier note, I was delighted to say a few words about my former colleague Maggie Hartford at an event to celebrate Maggie being awarded Life Membership of the NUJ. I also blogged for the NUJ about a plan to move production of the Oxford Mail & Times to Newport in South Wales. Sadly, since I wrote that blog post in December, the plan has become a reality and many experienced Oxfordshire-based journalists have lost their jobs.
