Also appearing at: plastic waste and other green issues

The rumours are true: it’s been about six years since I last bought a new toothbrush. Want to know why (and how)? Come to my talk tonight at the Restore Cafe in East Oxford. As part of the European Week for Waste Reduction, I’ll be talking about how to reduce the amount of plastic waste in your life. (I’m speaking as a Sustainable Witney volunteer, but the event is hosted by Low Carbon East Oxford, with a little help from CAG Oxfordshire.) I’ve also been blogging for Sustainable Witney on other topics, including where to recycle water filter cartridges in Witney, why switching to Ecotricity is a great idea and why high fuel poverty is a reason to prioritise green energy. I’ve also joined the small team of Sustainable Witney thermal imaging volunteers and written a blog post inviting more local people to get their house imaged. We have the camera for the rest of November and for February 2014.
